EAST MEADOWS,LONG ISLAND 1958

One of my all time favorite pictures. I love mom's coat and the picture of fixing our hair right before the picture was taken. Back in those days all the pictures had to be taken outside since we didn't have flashes on the cameras. These were the apartments we lived in before moving to Roosevelt, right mom? Or was it on the Military Base?

CHRISTMAS 1972

Here's a great picture of one of the things we loved to do - play basketball together! I remember only playing off and on, because most nights it was Steve sweet talking me into doing his dishes for him, so HE could go outside and play basketball. Hmmmmmm...

CHRISTMAS 1973

We were missing Steven this year, since he was on his mission. Looks like we all dressed up for christmas morning pictures....Nice scarf Cheryl! Boy, does mom look like one of the kids, or what?! I think that must be a new hat on Joel's head?

Evelyn turns 8 - June,1965

Mom gave me the most wonderful birthday party this year, that I always remembered. I got to have friends over, and we did a treasure hunt. This picture was taken at the conclusion of running around finding all our clues. Everyone back then wore dresses to school and parties...and I guess this was the beginning of me not liking to wear shoes? These girls were my friends in Long Island (members of the church) from the time I was in kindergarten until we moved when I was in 7th grade. Robin Pehrson, Jeanie Macdonald, Mary Califf, Gail Nemeroff and Susan Curie - was the one friend from school. I got to wear my new 'gaucho' outfit with a metal belt to go along with the "indian" theme that I chose... I LOVED it!
